Location:

Northern Kodiak Island, including the west side of Center Mountain, east side of Wild Creek and the mountains south of the head of Kizhuyak Bay. See area map (Image file 147 kB) for more information.

Land Ownership:

Lowlands along Kizhuyak Bay are owned by the Afognak Native Corporation. The remainder of the hunt area is state land. www.dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/planning/easmtatlas/kodiak/.

Access:

No alpine lakes are located in this area. The best access is from Kizhuyak Bay or Ugak Bay, with some hunters walking in from Center Mountain. Be prepared and bring a spike camp for this hunt.
