Southcentral Alaska Subsistence Fisheries
That Require a Permit
In Southcentral Alaska the following fisheries require a permit issued by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Please contact the appropriate ADF&G office for information on seasons, methods and means, bag limits, and other restrictions or to obtain your permit.
- Cook Inlet (all waters) Subsistence Salmon and Dolly Varden Fisheries
- Cook Inlet Subsistence Tanner Crab Fishery
- Port Graham/Port Chatham Subsistence Salmon Fishery
- Seldovia Subsistence Salmon Fishery
- Tyonek Subsistence Salmon Fishery
- Permits for the above fisheries may be obtained from the following ADF&G offices:
- Prince William Sound Area (all waters) Subsistence Finfish Fisheries
- Prince William Sound Subsistence Razor Clam Fishery
- Prince William Sound Subsistence Shrimp Fishery
- Prince William Sound Subsistence King and Tanner Crab Fishery
- Permits for finfish, shrimp and tanner crab are all available on the ADF&G Online Store.
- You can obtain other permits for the above fisheries at the Cordova ADF&G office
- Glennallen Subdistrict Subsistence Salmon Fishery
- You can obtain permits for the above fisheries at the Glennallen ADF&G office
- Bristol Bay Area (all waters) Subsistence Salmon Fisheries
- Aleutian Islands Area (all waters) Subsistence Finfish Fisheries
- Alaska Peninsula Area (all waters) Subsistence Finfish Fisheries
- Alaska Peninsula-Aleutian Islands Subsistence Crab Fisheries
- Alaska Peninsula-Aleutian Islands Subsistence Shrimp Fishery
- Bering Sea Subsistence Shrimp Fishery
- Chignik Area (all waters) Subsistence Finfish Fisheries
- Kodiak Island Area (all waters) Subsistence Finfish Fisheries
- Kodiak Island Area (all waters) Subsistence Crab Fisheries
- Kodiak Subsistence Shrimp Fishery (Commercial Vessels only)
