Streambank Rehabilitation Workshops

Each year, Department staff teaches Habitat Rehabilitation Workshops in selected locations throughout the state. These workshops provide instruction on lake and stream habitat restoration techniques, and related information for rehabilitating riparian habitat and stabilizing stream banks and shorelines. These two-day workshops include one classroom day and one field day that involves construction of a habitat rehabilitation project.

2014 Workshop Dates:

  • Soldotna - May 13-14
  • Wasilla - June 3-4
  • Fairbanks - June 10-11
  • Anchorage - June 17-18

For additional information or to register for a 2014 workshop, please contact Tracy Smith, Habitat Biologist, by phone at 907-267-2403 or by email at tracy.smith@alaska.gov.
