About League Shooting

League Shooting is an excellent way to improve your shooting ability. Leagues offer regular practice in a structured, friendly, and competitive environment. The leagues hosted at the Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range are designed for shooters of all skill levels, from beginner to expert.

History

League shooting began at the range in the fall of 2000, in an effort to offer community members a safe and structured, yet fun, social shooting event. ADF&G sponsored and hosted the league and worked to organize shooters who could administer league business. Partly from that effort, AIM-COMM, the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee, was started. AIM-COMM today is a strong and growing group of shooters dedicated to promoting safe firearms handling and shooting. The leagues are one component of AIM-COMM.
