Sitka Black-tailed Deer (Odocoileus hemionus sitkensis)

The Sitka black-tailed deer is the most-pursued species of big game in Southeast Alaska. During the 20 years from 1987 to 2007, there has been an average annual harvest of 12,334 deer.
