Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus)

The arctic fox is under no direct management. They are open to trapping and sport hunting (ADFG 2009, ADFG 2010c). Foxes were introduced to many islands during the fur farming era of Alaska's history, and are now considered an invasive species and being eradicated from some islands to benefit native bird populations.
