To report someone harassing, harming, or killing a threatened or endangered animal or plant, contact Federal Law Enforcement. For marine species, contact NOAA Law enforcement. For terrestrial or freshwater species, contact USFWS Law Enforcement.

Consultation

If you need to consult with a Federal agency to determine how to minimize your proposed project’s impacts to known threatened and endangered species, contact NMFS for marine species, and USFWS for freshwater and terrestrial species.

For information on how to comment on Federal actions regarding threatened and endangered species, contact NMFS for marine species, or search the eRulemaking Portal for Federal action regarding any species.

Permitting

To learn if threatened or endangered species occur in an area where you plan to develop a project, contact the pertinent Federal consulting agency. For marine species (including projects that may drain into the ocean), contact NMFS. For terrestrial or freshwater species (including projects that may drain into freshwater systems) contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
