Sport Fish Run Timing
Timing and location are critical when fishing in Alaska. Use the timing menu below to increase your chances of success by planning your fishing trip around the times and locations the fish are running.
Sport Fish run timing and fish availability charts.
PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND, RESURRECTION BAY SALT WATER FISH AVAILABILITY
This table indicates when sport fish are present (little fish) or at their peak availability (larger fish) in salt water in the area of Alaska which includes Prince William Sound and Resurrection Bay. Communities in the area include Whittier, Valdez, and Cordova. Seward and Resurrection Bay are sometimes included in this area, however the Resurrection Bay fisheries may also mimic the other Kenai Peninsula fisheries.
These run-timing tables indicate fish availability only. Some waters may be closed to fishing, so be sure to check a current regulation summary before planning your trip.
