Hunter Education and Training Program - Teacher Training

Teachers can earn one continuing education credit from Prince William Sound Community College by becoming involved with the Hunter Education and Training Program (HIT).

Teachers can enroll in a 590 level education credit course for a nominal fee and become a volunteer, certified Hunter Education Instructor for the Department of Fish & Game.

Some school teachers take this training into their classroom and offer an Outdoor Skills Course incorporating basic hunter education within that class offering. The HIT program will provide you with all the training materials and equipment you will need to offer your Alaskan students a quality foundation and awareness of safety in the outdoors and responsible handling of firearms. Call 267-2241 or check our calendar for course offerings.
