
Orzinski River Weir

Orzinski Lake weir (Orzenoi) is located at the confluence of Orzinski Lake and the Orzinski (lake outlet) River, 55° 44' N. latitude, 160° 05' W. longitude and is about 85 feet in length and varies from 1 to 2 feet in depth. Salmon were first counted through a weir constructed in 1929 and operated annually by the federal government through 1941. The weir has recently been operated by two ADF&G employees from early June through late July in 1990-1996.
