Ilnik River Weir

Ilnik River weir is the longest weir in the state. The weir is located about 2 miles downstream from Ilnik village, 56° 34' N. latitude, 159°41' W. longitude and is about 500 feet in length and varies from 2 to 5 feet in depth. Salmon were first counted through a weir constructed in 1991 and operated annually by two ADF&G employees from early June through mid July.
