Reporting Requirements

  • Successful Hunters
    • Bear hide and skull must be sealed in state within 30 days of a kill. Evidence of sex must remain naturally attached to the hide. Must submit harvest report within 30 days of harvest.
    • Specimens Required: Premolar extracted at time of sealing
  • Unsuccessful Hunters
    Must report in person, online, or by mail within 15 days of season closure.
  • Internet Reporting
    If you hunted unsuccessfully or did not hunt, you may report online at

Additional Requirements and Information

  • Hunt Area: Unit 23, that portion of the Noatak River drainage upstream of and excluding the Anisak River, upstream and east of Lake Kangilipak, and excluding Gates of the Arctic National Park. Unit 23 Guide-Outfitter Area 3.
