Alaska Department of Fish and Game

Planning

ADF&G staff participates in a variety of review processes. Some of these processes allow the department to participate early in the process as an official representative of the State on ADF&G issues, as is established in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) and the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA), but also in other areas of work such as developing state Area Plans and in following procedures of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Other opportunities are afforded ADF&G to comment and make suggestions and recommendations more informally alongside the general public in borough and local planning and platting actions.
