Teacher workshop - Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG)

The Alaska Department of Fish & Game offers hands-on training opportunities to educators, both formal and non-formal. These fast paced and fun workshops are 'place-based' in focus, centering on Alaska wildlife species, habitats, and research and delivered by our staff of Wildlife educators and researchers.   • Alaska Wildlife Curriculum
    Experience relevant and engaging workshops using materials focused on Alaska's wildlife, ecology, wetlands, tundra, and current research that are easy to integrate into your lesson plans.
  • NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program)
    ADF&G trains teachers and assists schools in purchasing materials to participate in the National Archery in the Schools Program (a nationwide youth archery program for grades 4-12).
  • Hunter Education
    The Hunter Information & Training (HIT) Program volunteer instructors assist in developing safe Alaskan hunters, improving hunter ethics and responsibility, and passing on a valuable tradition to thousands of new outdoor enthusiasts. Classroom teachers can receive 2 CEUs by attending and completing the requirements to become a Hunter Education instructor.
  • Shorebirds for Today and Tomorrow
    An educational program for schools in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. alt
