As the 2015 angling season begins to wind down fishing reports will be less frequent. Angling reports in winter for the Yakutat area typically focus on steelhead in the Situk River, and Chinook angling in salt waters of Yakutat Bay.

Sport fishing opportunity in fall and winter in Yakutat is focused primarily on winter steelhead in the Situk River, and some occasional effort for winter Chinook salmon in Yakutat Bay. Steelhead updates will be posted as effort and conditions change over the winter, and winter Chinook salmon reports will be posted when they occur.
