Half and full day cruises that specialize in whale watching depart from Auke Bay, with humpback whales seen consistently. Consider yourself especially lucky if you see killer whales. Other marine mammals might be seen, along with a variety of sea birds.

Directions

Most whale watching tours can be purchased in downtown Juneau. Many leave from the Don Statter harbor in Auke Bay, with transportation to Auke Bay from downtown provided.
