About the Show
The stories behind Alaska's sport fisheries.
The Fish Count takes listeners beyond the fishing report and into the science, fieldwork, people, and decisions that shape Alaska's sport fisheries.
Each episode explores a different piece of the work - from fish movement and field research to salmon monitoring and long-lived rockfish - through conversations with the biologists, managers, and staff who know these fisheries firsthand.
