Saltwater Fishing
- Coho salmon fishing is currently good in marine waters around Prince of Wales and should remain so through August. King salmon are available around Prince of Wales with fair catches reported recently, however king salmon catches will likely decline through the latter part of August. Halibut, lingcod and rockfish fishing is currently good.
Freshwater Fishing
- Coho, pink, chum and sockeye salmon are present in freshwaters such as the Thorne, Karta, Klawock and Harris rivers, Eagle, Staney and Hatchery creeks. Summer run coho are available at Neck Creek. The following lakes and associated stream drainages should offer good trout and Dolly Varden fishing; Control, Klawock, Luck, and Red lakes as well as the Thorne River drainage.
