Saltwater Fishing
King salmon are available in inside and outside marine waters around Prince of Wales with fair catches reported. King salmon catches will likely decline through August. Coho salmon fishing is currently good and should remain so through August. Halibut, lingcod and rockfish fishing is currently good.
Freshwater Fishing
Coho, pink, chum and sockeye salmon are present in freshwaters such as the Thorne, Karta, Klawock and Harris rivers, Eagle, Staney and Hatchery creeks. Summer run coho are available at Neck Creek. The following lakes and associated stream drainages should offer good trout and Dolly Varden fishing; Control, Klawock, Luck, and Red lakes as well as the Thorne River drainage.
