Reporting Requirements

  • Successful Hunters
    • Report no later than Sept. 30. Return completed permit report card in person to check stations at Koyukuk River Checkstation, Huslia or Hughes.
    • Specimens Required: Upper half of one antler. 5-inch section of lower jaw with front teeth must be surrendered at Koyukuk River Checkstation.
  • Unsuccessful Hunters
    Report no later than October 10.
  • Internet Reporting
    If you did not hunt, you may report online at http://hunt.alaska.gov

Hunting Conditions

1) WHEN: Sept. 1 - Sept. 25.

2) WHERE: Koyukuk Controlled Use Area within Units 21CD and 24CD.

3) BAG LIMIT: One (1) bull moose.

4) REPORTING:
SUCCESSFUL hunters: Report no later than Sept. 30. Return completed permit report card in person to check stations at Koyukuk River
Checkstation, Huslia or Hughes.
UNSUCCESSFUL hunters: Report no later than Oct. 10. Return completed permit report card in person to check station or to ADF&G
in person or by mail.
Hunters who DID NOT HUNT: Report no later than Oct. 10. Return completed permit report card in person to ADF&G or by mail or report
online at www.adfg.alaska.gov.

5) SPECIMENS:
Upper half of one antler. For hunters passing the Koyukuk River Checkstation, 5-inch section of lower jaw with front teeth.

6) REMEMBER:
All meat must remain on the bone of the front quarters, hind quarters and ribs until the meat has been transported from the area or
to the hunter's home. One antler must be cut through the middle of the palm at the kill site and the upper half of one antler must be
surrendered at Koyukuk River Checkstation, Huslia or Hughes. Access restrictions apply within the Koyukuk Controlled Use Area.

7) WHO QUALIFIES: Alaska residents only, except those who received Drawing Permits DM802-830 and DM892.

8) PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO REPORT:
If you fail to report, you will not be eligible to receive any permits (Drawing, Targeted, Tier II, or Registration, including Tier I
Nelchina Caribou) during the next regulatory year. In addition, your name will be turned over to the Alaska Wildlife Troopers
for enforcement action.
