Ice Seal Tracking Maps Archive

During the last ten days we have received locations from 1 ringed seal (solid line) and 6 bearded seals (dashed lines). The ringed seal (RS14-01-M) is still located east of Barrow. As for the bearded seals, two (BS15-04-F and BS15-07-M) are in Kotzebue Sound and one (BS15-03-F) is in Norton Sound. BS15-05-F is still near Mechigmenan Bay along the Russian coast, near Lorino. BS15-01-M has continued to move east of St. Paul Island and has entered Kuskokwim Bay. Lastly, BS15-02-M has moved south through the Bering Strait and is headed toward St. Lawrence Island.
