Requested Tracking Map
During the last 14 days we have received locations for 3 bearded and 3 spotted seals. One bearded seal (BS16-05-F, red square) is along the Beaufort Sea coast, west of Kaktovik. One spotted seal (SS16-06-F, brown circle) has moved north from Norton Sound, into Bering Strait, and is slightly north of Wales while another spotted seal (SS16-01-F, orange circle) is on the east coast of St. Lawrence Island. The remaining three seals are in coastal waters of Norton Sound and Anadyr Gulf. Sea ice data are courtesy of the NASA Rapid Response Network, dated 5 June (https://earthdata.nasa.gov/earth-observation-data/near-real-time/rapid-response/modis-subsets).
