Ice Seal Tracking Maps Archive
03/77/2018 – 03/86/2018

During the last 10 days we have received locations for 3 bearded, 1 ringed, and 2 spotted seals. All bearded and ringed seals are still in areas with heavy sea ice (>80% concentration) and within 15 miles (24 km) of land. The spotted seals moved north with the receding ice during the last 10 days and are still located in open water or in the marginal ice zone in the Bering Sea. Sea ice data are courtesy of the U.S. National Ice Center, dated 27 March (http://www.natice.noaa.gov/products/daily_products.html).
