During the last 14 days we have received locations for 6 bearded seals, 2 ringed seals, and 9 spotted seals. Bearded seal BS16-05-F (red square) remains the only tagged seal north of the Bering Strait and is located in the Beaufort Sea, along the coastline of northern Alaska, northwest of Kaktovik. All other tagged seals are south of the Bering Strait and range, east to west, from Norton Sound to the Russian coast line, and south to Bristol Bay. Sea ice data courtesy of the U.S. National Ice Center and dated 13 February (http://www.natice.noaa.gov/products/).
