Hunting Conditions

1) Season Dates: Aug. 1 - Mar. 31

2) Open Areas: 17A, all drainages that terminate east of Right Hand Point. 17C, west of the east banks of the Wood River, Lake Aleknagik, Agulowak River, Lake Nerka, and the Agulupak River. This permit does not apply to that portion of 17A and 17C consisting of the Nushagak Peninsula south of the Igushik River, Tuklung River and Tuklung Hills west to Tvativak Bay.

3) BAG LIMIT- Two Caribou, but only one caribou may be taken per permit. When getting permits online, you may automatically be issued 2 permits. If you accidentally obtain more than 2 permits, you can still only harvest 2 caribou, and you must report on all of your permits.
You must carry a valid hunting license and this permit with you while you are hunting. To harvest two caribou, you must have two permits (maximum of two permits per hunter), and you are required to have both permits in your possession while hunting. If you receive two permits, you are required to submit a separate hunt report for each of the permits prior to the reporting deadline.

4) REPORTING
- Successful hunters must report their take within 5 days of kill by reporting online @ hunt.alaska.gov, in person at an ADF&G office, or by mail.
- Unsuccessful hunters must report within 15 days of the close of season.

5) PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO REPORT:
If you fail to report, you will not be eligible to receive any permits (drawing, tier I, tier II, targeted, and registration) during the next regulatory year. In addition, your name will be turned over to the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for enforcement action.
