Upper Kobuk Advisory Committee
The Upper Kobuk AC has a total of 12 seats, with designated seats for Ambler (3), Shungnak (3), and Kobuk (2), and 2 undesignated seats. The committee meets twice annually and rotates among the three communities in meeting location. The AC is concerned mostly with game-related issues, including nuisance moose; bear and wolf populations; caribou migration; and shefish. The areas of jurisdiction for the Upper Kobuk AC are Game Management Unit 23 and Kotzebue Sound Area finfish.
