Permit Summary Details

All data is displayed live and is subject to change. The following table summarizes the number of issued Aquatic Farm/Hatchery Operation Permits and Total Permitted Acres by operation type, simple species group, and region. Please note that Total Acres and Species Group listed is what is permitted. This does not necessarily mean the operation is currently culturing all permitted species, using all acres, or even in operation.

Species Group is defined as the following;

• "Aquatic Plant Only" is defined as any operation that is permitted for only aquatic plant species. This could be single or multiple plant species including kelp or other marine plants.
• "Shellfish Only" is defined as any operation that is permitted for only one species of shellfish. This could be just oysters, geoduck, or other clam species.
• "Combination" is defined as any operation that is permitted for multiple species of shellfish or shellfish and aquatic plants. This could be oysters and mussels, oysters and kelp, or kelp and invertebrates, etc.
