Fresh waters
King Salmon
Naknek and Alagnak drainages:
- Sport fishing is currently reported as fair. However it is still early and sport fishing will likely be more productive later this week on the Naknek and in late June on the Alagnak.
Nushagak drainages.
- Sport fishing is currently reported as fair.
- The sonar near Portage Creek is operational and 12,599 kings have been counted by the sonar through June 14. This is approximately 2 1/2 days ahead of desired levels. Management will be in accordance with the Nushagak/Mulchatna King Salmon Management Plan.
Togiak River and nearby drainages:
- It is still early for kings in the Togiak. Sport fishing will not likely be productive until late June.
Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling
Naknek and Alagnak drainages:
- Fishing is reported as very good for rainbow trout and Dolly Varden as they continue to feed on out-migrating sockeye salmon smolt.
Togiak River and nearby drainages:
- There have been no angling reports from this section, though opportunities should improve as waters warm.
Wood River Lakes system:
- Fishing should be good to excellent at the outlets of salmon spawning streams as smolt continue to migrate down river.
Northern Pike
Naknek and Alagnak drainages:
- Fishing should be fair to good.
Wood River Lake system:
- Fishing should be good along lake and slough shores and in shallow weedy bays.
Salt waters
Halibut
Nushagak Bay
- Fishing should be fair to good off the coast of Protection Point.
