Freshwater Fishing
Freshwater rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing is currently good. The following lakes and associated stream drainages should offer good trout and Dolly Varden fishing; Control, Klawock, Luck, and Red Bay Lakes as well as the Thorne River drainage.
A few sockeye salmon have started showing up in the freshwater drainages of Sweetwater Lake and other drainages that support sockeye salmon, however it is still early with low water levels.
Saltwater Fishing
Marine angling effort in the Craig and Klawock area is increasing with the best catches reported on the outer coast. King fishing will continue to improve peaking around the end of June.
Halibut and bottom fishing has been spotty, but will continue to improve as summer progresses.
