| Abstract: | A mail survey was used to collect data on 1994 and 1995 Alaska fishery-specific angler-days fished. Such information would be useful to fishery managers for monitoring participation and for assessing project benefits. For some fisheries the estimated angler-days fished derived by this study aligned well with those available from other divisional studies; yet in other instances estimated angler-days from this study were substantially different (150-200% greater) from those obtained by other divisional studies. Such inconsistent results indicate possible respondent confusion with the survey instruments. |
