Some sockeye salmon are showing up at Saltery and Pasagshak, though it’s still slower than expected. Counts have picked up at both rivers and there are lots of fish in the river at Saltery. In the last day fish have started to move in Pasagshak too.
Road system king salmon are just starting to show up too, though ADF&G staff are out on the rivers daily collecting brood stock right now. Reports have come in of a few kings being caught at American and Salonie, but also reports of some new, bright fish showing up in the last 4 days.
Dollies are absolutely huge this year with anglers reporting very large fish being caught. Most of the rivers have had fantastic dolly fishing.
Pinks are showing up in most local rivers now, with the best fishing in the intertidal zones. There are lots of bright fish around and fishing will be picking up over the next 2 weeks.

King salmon fishing has been really good at Ugak Island, and sporadic in other places. Fish have been caught at Buoy 4, the hourglass, and Kalsin Bay recently. This is about the time of year kings started showing up near Woody Island last year, and it’s possible to see them here again.
Coho salmon are just starting to show up near Buoy 4 and in Ugak Bay, though it sounds like the volume of pink salmon in the area has made fishing harder this season so far.
Halibut fishing has been steady by most reports, with fish caught in the usual spots of Buoy 4, Outer Humpback, Triple Lumps, and Williams Reef.

Sounds like the hot weather has slowed rainbow fishing but with the rain in the last couple days fishing should pick up. A great, quick place to fish is Abercrombie Lake.

Emergency Order 2-KS-4-08-19 closed the Karluk River drainage to king salmon fishing and only one, unbaited, single-hook, artificial lure is allowed.
Emergency Order 2-KS-4-24-19 closed the Ayakulik River drainage to king salmon fishing and only one, unbaited, single-hook, artificial lure is allowed.
Emergency Order 2-RS-4-26-19 increases the bag limit for sockeye salmon in the Buskin River to five per day.
