* Just a reminder to all our anglers, please do your part to help slow the spread of Covid-19 by practicing social distancing while sport and personal use fishing, and wearing a face-covering when social distancing is not possible, and if you are needing fishing supplies from your local store.

Freshwater Fishing

  • Fishing for Arctic char is reported to be fair to good at river mouths emptying into most Bristol Bay lakes.
  • Fishing for rainbow trout and Arctic grayling is reported to be fair to good. Salmon have not quite begun spawning, so nymphs, streamers, and spinners (where allowed) should still work well until spawning begins.
  • Fishing for northern pike is reported to be fair to good with fishing concentrated around weeded bays and sloughs.
  • Fishing for king salmon on the Nushagak River is reported to be slow as the run continues to tail off.
  • Fishing for king salmon in the Alagnak, Naknek, and Togiak drainages is reported to be good, however, the peak of the run has passed in these drainages.
  • Fishing for coho salmon in the Nushagak is very slow; however, fish should begin to arrive next week.

Saltwater Fishing

  • Halibut fishing near Protection Point is reported to be slow to fair with mixed success.
