Online Fishing Forum: Fishing Doesn’t Have to Be Scary

(Statewide) - Have you ever been so overwhelmed by the number of fishing options that we have here in Alaska? Planning a trip can be incredibly intimidating, and downright scary. However, planning a fishing trip in Alaska doesn't have to be scary! The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Division of Sport Fish, will be hosting an online fishing forum titled, "Fishing Trip Planning 101" on the Alaska Department of Fish and Game YouTube channel. This 12-minute fishing forum will give you some tips on how to best plan any fishing trip to Alaska, whether you live in-state or out-of-state. It will highlight some resources you have to help you plan your trip, as well as give you some great things to think about beforehand. The presentation will be available on YouTube on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. ADF&G staff will be available to answer any questions in real-time on the YouTube chat from 7:00 to 7:15 p.m. and will be available to reply to questions in the comments following the presentation. The presentation will then remain on the ADF&G YouTube channel and can be viewed any time after the premiere.
