(Anchorage) – Due to very low visitation numbers in combination with fewer staff available to interact with visitors in the Ship Creek Fisheries Center (SCFC) at the William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery, effective immediately the SCFC will be closed on weekends and holidays during the winter months, from November to mid-March. The SCFC will remain open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the winter months, accommodations for organized groups interested in tours on the weekends may be made by advanced appointment only, pending staff availability.
