Logbooks for 2006 licensed saltwater sport fish charter businesses are now available for pick up at most ADF&G offices throughout Southeast and Southcentral
To pick up a logbook, individuals must have their ADF&G fishing guide license number, and the AK numbers or U.S. Coast Guard numbers of their vessels.
Saltwater sport fish charter businesses are required by law to maintain a logbook for each vessel that carries clients.  Logbooks must be filled out on a daily basis for each charter trip. Logbook sheets must be returned to ADF&G on a weekly basis, while there is activity. Weeks of no activity do not have to be returned.
Logbooks are to be completed after returning to the docks and before off-loading any clients or fish.  Logbooks must still be filled out even if no fish are kept.  If no fish are kept, logbooks must be filled out before the operator leaves the vessel.
                                                            Or
If the vessel is launched from a trailer, logbooks must be completed before the vessel or guide departs the landing site and before off-loading any fish.  Logbooks must still be filled out even if no fish are kept.  If no fish are kept, then logbooks must be filled out before the guide leaves the landing site.
The dates by which the logbook sheets must be received or postmarked are printed on the inside of the front cover of the logbook.

Logbook sheets with activity should be mailed to the RTS, Division of Sport Fish 333 Raspberry Rd.,
