CORRECTION TO THE 2012 SOUTHEAST ALASKA SPORT FISHING REGULATIONS SUMMARY BOOKLET
KING AND TANNER CRAB POT LIMITS
The maximum number of pots that may be used in the Personal Use Tanner and king crab fisheries in Southeast Alaska is 4 pots per vessel.
A typographical error occurred on Page 27 of the 2012 Southeast Alaska Sport Fishing Regulations Summary booklet. Shellfish fishers should take note of the following correction in the box labeled “Number of Pots & Rings Allowed for ALASKA RESIDENTS ONLY”:
- While taking Tanner and king crab no more than 4 pots or 10 ring nets per person may be used with a maximum of 10 ring nets or 4 pots [not 10 pots] per vessel (except 20 ring nets per vessel may be used in the Yakutat area). In the Juneau area, shellfish gear limits are established by emergency order. Please check with your local ADF&G office for this information.
For more information, contact the Southeast Regional Management Coordinator at (907) 747- 5551.
