Comments: This site was visited during routine stream inspections along the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. Sampling occurred in conjunction with Alyeska staff lee McKinley and Carleton Hautala. As indicated in a previous nomination this seems like the historic flowpath of Slate Creek which now moved several hundred meters west...this nomination is to add this as a new waterbody which is basically a drainage out of a wetland complex which appears separate from upstream Slate Creek surface flow. Juvenile coho salmon were captured and observed here. Attached is a map depicting the sample site. Pictured were accidentally not take of the juvenile coho, but we captured and observed many.
