Comments: In 2023, a channel opened in a beaver dam located at the mouth of Skirmish Creek. The beaver dam was maintained by a beaver as recently as 2021, but beaver have not been observed here since 2022. This channel allowed for fish passage that was not possible in recent years. A pair of adult coho salmon were observed on October 20, 2023 in the upper reaches of Skirmish Creek. Juvenile Dolly Varden have been caught in minnow trap surveys in Skirmish Creek in October 2021-2023.
