Comments: We visually observed 3 pink salmon spawning in the lower portion of Bear Creek while conducting a fish and habitat survey. This area is an area that might be affected by a potential transportation corridor and port site to support the potential Johnson Tract mineral development. A minimum of 20 spawning and spawned out adult chum salmon were also visually observed in the area. Plenty of bear sign as well. Additional chum salmon spawning activity was visually observed during an aerial survey on 9/29/2023.
