Comments: Upper and lower lat/longs are survey extent for Anaktuvuk River. Specific observations of chum and sampling locations are detailed in the Supplemental Info Form. UAF researchers Peter Westley, Andrew Seitz, Elizabeth Lindley, Joe Spencer, Julia McMahon and UW researcher Andrew Berdahl spent a week doing helicopter surveys in tributaries of the Colville River watershed specifically looking for Pacific Salmon. Chum salmon were observed in multiple slow moving side sloughs from the helicopter. Two sampling locations on the Anaktuvuk River yielded 29 sampled chum salmon. Chum salmon in sample locations were observed guarding redds and most sampled individuals were spawned out or partially spawned. Spawned out carcasses were also sampled at these locations.
