Alaska Sport Fishing Regulations Summary Photo Contest

Every year, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Division of Sport Fish enjoys receiving sport fishing photos from the public during the annual Sport Fishing Regulations Cover Photo Contest. A photo of you, your kiddo(s), or friends could be on the cover or on the inside pages of one of our four sport fishing regulations books. Pack your phone/camera along with your rod and reel, and capture those memorable images of your family, kids, and friends sport fishing in Alaska. And don't forget to send us your photos!

We are looking for photos that represent what sport fishing in Alaska means to anglers and their families. A maximum of three photos may be entered. The photos must have been taken in Alaska in the past year or two. Photos used on the front of the books will be credited inside the cover. Photos that show evidence of fish and game violations, unethical, or unsafe actions or advertisement will not be considered - this includes youths in a boat without a life vest.

Photo submissions with a completed and signed media consent release form must be received by ADF&G no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 31 in any given year. The media consent release form must be signed by the parent or guardian of children under 18 years of age. Photos submitted without a completed and signed media consent release form will not be accepted.

Up to three photos may be submitted. Your email should include the anglers' first and last name, age, species of fish, and the name of the waterbody the fish was caught at and include as an attachment the signed media release form. If you have a great adventure story that accompanies a photo, please share it with us in the email. Please do not attach screenshots of photos.
