Comments: This information was gathered as part of the joint reconnaissance level project between the ADF&G Habitat Division and the Fish Passage Assessment Project on Adak Island. Due to time constraints full site assessments were not conducted, but base line information was collected. Road has been bermed to restrict access due to road failing from erosion on the downstream side. A side ditch coming into Moffet Creek above the inlets from the north was electrofished and coho salmon and Dolly Varden char were captured. A second electrofishing site was sample about half a mile upstream about as far as we could safely drive and hike in with a military escort. Only Dolly Varden were captured upstream, but water levels were high and there was not much holding habitat for coho. The downstream road bank erosion threatens to take out the downstream headwall and potentially wash the whole crossing out.
