During the last ten days we have received locations from 2 ringed seals (solid lines) and 5 bearded seals (dashed lines). Ringed seal, RS14-01-M, is still north of Point Hope along the Alaskan coast and RS15-02-F is north of the Russian coast, in the Chukchi Sea. As for the bearded seals, we last received a location for BS14-02-M on 11 August 2015 from the northern Chukchi Sea. This week we received locations for BS14-02-M from Norton Sound, near Koyuk. This bearded seal over-wintered in Norton Sound last year. BS15-07-M is in Kotzebue Sound and BS15-03-F is in Norton Sound. BS15-04-F has moved south of Shishmaref, toward Wales. BS15-08-F is in Lavrentiya Bay (near Lavrentiya) along the Russian coast. Sea ice data are courtesy of the U.S. National Ice Center, dated 16 November (http://www.natice.noaa.gov).
