Ice Seal Tracking Maps Archive

During the last ten days we have received locations from 6 bearded (dashed line) seals tagged in the Norton Sound region during August. The seals are located from near St. Paul Island in the southeast Bering Sea to near Point Hope in the Chukchi Sea. After traveling north along the Alaska Coast toward Wainwright, BS15-02-M has moved back south and is now located near Point Hope. BS15-04-F and BS15-07-M have begun to move into Kotzebue Sound. BS15-05-F is still located in Mechigmenan Bay along the Russian coast, near Lorino, and BS15-01-M is still located near St. Paul Island.
