Reporting Requirements

  • Successful Hunters
    • Report within 30 days of the kill online at hunt.alaska.gov, by telephone 907-443-2271 or 800-560-2271, or by pre-paid mail.
    • Specimens Required: Skull and hide (separated, unfrozen) sealed by ADF&G; tooth extracted.
  • Unsuccessful Hunters
    Report within 15 days of season end online at hunt.alaska.gov, by telephone 907-443-2271 or 800-560-2271, or by pre-paid mail.
  • Internet Reporting
    You may report online at http://hunt.alaska.gov

Additional Requirements and Information

  • Remember to report the outcome of your hunt. You must complete the hunt report attached to your permit even if you were unsuccessful, or did not hunt. Also, the hide and skull of all brown bears must be sealed within 30 days of take, and all bears must be sealed before they are transported out of Alaska; however, they do not have to be sealed within the Unit in which they were taken.
