Reed Lake was first stocked by ADFG in 1965 with rainbow trout (RT) fingerling. GR fingerling were added in 1993 when some other lakes considered potential flood lakes were discontinued. Sampling in August 1994 indicated a winterkill had occurred (only 1994 RT fingerling and lots of insect life were captured). Reed Lake was sampled again in May 1995 and fish were captured. Reports of good fishing for both RT and GR.
