Stocking Notes: Stocking access is the same as public access. The hatchery truck can carefully back down the narrow trail to dump fish.
Canoe Lake was first stocked by ADFG in 1966 with Dolly Varden (DV). DV were again stocked in 1967-68, rainbow trout (RT) 1969-1975, Arctic grayling (GR) fry 1976-1978, and 1981. RT were stocked in 1982, GR fry in 1983, and GR fry and fingerlings from 1984-1998.
GR survive and grow well in this lake. It is popular from spring through early winter.
