Klaire Lake was first stocked by ADFG in 1969 with Arctic grayling (GR) fry. GR were again stocked in 1970 but appeared to winterkill. Coho salmon (SS) fingerling were stocked in 1991. As SS were stocked in May each year they grew to catchable size by fall and a good early winter fisheries resulted; those not harvested probably winterkill.
