Richardson Highway Trail (~15 miles total): Access trailhead at mile 252.4 Richardson Highway (locally known as 12 Mile Crossing), travel ~2 miles to Jarvis Creek, cross Jarvis Creek, turn right (SE) at trail intersection (~1.7 miles from Jarvis Creek crossing), and continue on main trail to lake. The first approximate 5 miles (Richardson Hwy Trail) is on military land and check-in is required at https://usartrak.isportsman.net or 907-361-9684.
Alaska Highway (~18 miles) access is at milepost 1408, turn south and follow main trail south along base of Granite Mountains, cross Granite Creek and take a left at the top of the hill. Follow main trail back to lake. Access crosses military training area after Granite Creek and check-in is required at https://usartrak.isportsman.net or 907-361-9684.
