Invasive Species in Alaska

Invasive species can dominate and destroy ecosystems creating irreversible economic, cultural, and health damage. The Alaska Department of Fish & Game is working to monitor and control further introduction and spread of invasive species. Toward this end the department has developed an "Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Management Plan" (see below).
